Harry Edward Styles (also known as Harry Styles in the music world) is a British music producer and musician and. Harry Styles was one of the original members of One Direction. Based in Holmes Chapel in Cheshire England Styles is the son of Des Styles & Anne Cox. Harry Styles studied at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School in which he started his own musical band with 3 classmates. The band was dubbed the White Eskimo. White Eskimo won 2009's Battle of Bands thanks to the impressive presentation they made. The musician always had an interest in music. However, he was enthused to be a lawyer or physical therapist. In order to support the needs of his children, he spent a short time working part-time at a baker's shop. Harry Styles was selected for The X Factor 2010 audition where he sang the Stevie Wonder's hit song Is not She Lovely. It was for this reason that his band broke up. Nicole Scherzinger told Harry Styles, Liam Payne Zayn Milik Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson that they'd form the group One Direction after the X Factor audition. Simon Cowell sponsored five teenagers to create the group in 2010. The group performed the Kelly Clarkson song My Life Would Be Sucky Without You and Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart in the competition, which made them one of the frontrunners to win the contest. They were however in third position behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles did not receive any cash prize. However, Cowell offered a 2-million-pound deal with One Direction in order for the group to join Syco Records.
